Throughout the year, we have been implementing our latest initiative: Personalized Learning and Communication. I wrote a brief communique that outlined philosophy and implementation of Personalized Learning. We are also in the process of collecting data from all the stakeholders to determine the effectiveness of this initiative.
We regularly use data to inform our decisions for what's next. This data collection comes in all forms including Google Forms which is becoming the tool of choice because of its ease of use. We also use data to inform decisions regarding programming. We have many measurement tools, some we have created and some created for us that gives us valuable information. (School Education Plan, APORI, Tell Them From Me etc.) We will be participating as a school in the TALIS survey for the OECD survey on Education in April 2013.

As well, I created a website to use as a staff handbook this year. I consistently maintain the site. It is replacing the outdated paper version and provides information necessary for teachers to embody 21st century teaching and learning skills.
