Interesting Articles

As I journey through the year, I posted some articles I found interesting, entertaining, thought-provoking and otherwise useful. This is by no means an exhaustive list. Thanks to my PLN and Twitter, these articles are only a small snapshot of what I have read.

Innovation in Isolation - As an introvert this article spoke to me. I know that as much as I push myself to get out and socialize, I know it's important to me to take the time to reflect and rejuvenate. I am keenly aware of the introverts in my school and recognize that their contributions should never be lost in the busyness of school.

The Most Successful Leaders Do 15 things automatically, every day
This is a great article. It reinforces many of the things I try to do whether consciously or subconsciously to get the team working together in the best interest of the students.


Here's a great article, 4 Traits of Great Leaders. Aspire. Plan. Inspire. Execute. I hope to achieve all of these one day. But as with anything, developing as a great teacher or leader is an ongoing process. You need to be patient with others as well as yourself.

This is another great article, 12 reasons you will be a better leader this year,  that describes exactly how I feel about leadership. In the end, it's not about me, it's about those I serve.
